[Last month was the 8th Anniversary of the earthquake, tsunami, nuclear meltdown tragedy at Fukushima, Japan. Lest we forget, we catch-up with Murata-san, our correspondent in Tokyo, known world-wide as “The Conscience of Fukushima.” Here are his latest messages from the front-lines.]

Subject: Japanese Doctors Ordered to Violate Informed Consent?
Murata-san,
As we remember yet another anniversary of the tragedy at Fukushim, this report is very troubling. If Japanese doctors are being told by their government that they may not talk to their patients about radiation-related illness, how can the patients make an Informed Consent decision about treatment?
It is a violation of long-standing international law to denigrate Informed Consent. This is a violation of the Nuremberg Code and a crime against humanity.*

Dear Friends,
I am sending you an outstanding article written by Dr. Helen Caldicott, most reliable and respected nuclear expert.
The following passage of the article has drawn much attention.
“The Japanese government has told doctors that they are not to talk to their patients about radiation and illnesses derived thereof, and in fact if the doctors do that, they might lose their funding from the government. The IAEA, the International Atomic Energy Agency interestingly set up a hospital – a cancer hospital – in Fukushima along with the Fukushima University for people with cancer, which tells you everything.”
An American friend has addressed me the following comment.
“If Japanese doctors are being told by their government that they may not talk to their patients about radiation-related illness, how can the patients make an Informed Consent decision about treatment? It is a violation of long-standing international law to denigrate Informed Consent. This is a violation of the Nuremberg Code and a crime against humanity.”
According to Dr.Caldicott, Fukushima is an ongoing global radiological catastrophe which no one really is addressing in full and there is a total cover-up to protect the nuclear industry and all its ramifications.
We cannot but deepen our concern about the Tokyo Olympics Games to read the following passage of the article.
“May I say that parts of Tokyo are extremely radioactive. People have been measuring the dirt from rooves of apartments, from the roadway, from vacuum cleaner dust. And some of these samples, they’re so radioactive that they would classify to be buried in radioactive waste facilities in America. So, that’s number one. Number two, to have the Olympics in Fukushima just defies imagination. And uh, some of the areas where the athletes are going to be running, the dust and dirt there has been measured, and it’s highly radioactive.”
I do hope that President Thomas Bach of the IOC will fully take into account the timely article of Dr. Caldicott.

It is a serious and convincing warning against radiation risks of the Tokyo Olympics.

Criticism against holding baseball and soft ball in Fukushima has recently been mounting.
In this document,we learn that soccer has been added and there is the following passage.
“Even after 30 years, the 30 km area around Chernobyl remains an exclusion zone, yet only 5 years after the Fukushima disaster began there are misguided plans to train young athletes in the town of Nahara at J Village, which is located 19 km (12 mi) from Fukushima Daiichi.”
I have learned that an American journalist is now visiting the relevant ground in Fukushima.
His report could have an impact.

An American friend has sent me an excellent and worrisome article about Chernobyl and the long term dangers of radiation in the April 4 issue of the New York Review of Books.

We are enlightened on the adamant and persistent efforts of cover-ups concerning the dangers of radioactivity and radiation
by the following passage in the article.
“When the United States dropped atom bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the immediate effect was a huge single release of radiation. Radioactive fallout then drifted down from the sky, moving with the wind to distribute a smaller amount of radiation across a larger area. People who arrived in Hiroshima after the attack fell ill, including US soldiers helping to rebuild the city, and the Japanese press wrote about the longer-lasting effects of the “atomic poison.” This infuriated General Leslie Groves, head of the Manhattan Project, who could not countenance the possibility that the hugely expensive new weapon might be vilified and banned, as German mustard gas had been during and after World War I. Groves directed an effort to use censorship and propaganda to suppress information about the dangers of the radiation emitted by the atom bomb.”

8 years after the Fukushima accident, its lessons are regrettably forgotten.
Comcienscious citizens are standing up against the restart of the Toukai No.2 nuclear reactor situated only 100 kilometers from Tokyo.The future of Japan is menaced,for in the worst case, Tokyo could become uninhabitable.
I am wondering how long President Bach can ignore the increasing pressure from all quarters to verify the infamous “under control”assertion.

Dear Friends,
I am transmitting to you my recent messages editted by the Natural Solutions Foundation.
It is encouraging to receive recently the following message from an outstanding American professor.
“I greatly respect you for your unflagging determination to make people aware of
the continuing dangers posed by the Fukushima calamity.”
The Japanese are shocked to learn a few days ago that,after the Fukushima accident
8 members of parliament have passed away,of which 3 are former ministers in charge of
reconstruction and of environment who had to visit frequently regions contaminated by radiation.
The Tokyo Olympic Games 2020 faces complex problems. Holding baseball, soft ball
and soccer in the Fukushima Prefecture is inviting severe criticism.
A influencial American journalist visited the relevent stadium last week and
is now planning to work with athletes around the world to get them to appeal to their national committees to pull out of Fukushima as a first step.
