Why is NOT Labeling GMOs So Important? What Are Pepsi, Coca-Cola Got Hiding?

Lobbying Expensese anti GMOJust why is Big Food Fighting So Hard, and Paying So Much Money, to Prevent Labeling GMOs?  Because They Are Toxic and Nobody Wants Them?  Yes, That Could Be It!

A couple of notable quotes directly from the genetically engineered horse’s mouth make the point:

“If you put a label on genetically engineered food you might as well put a skull and crossbones on it.”
Norman Braksick, president of Asgrow Seed Co., a subsidiary of Monsanto, quoted in the Kansas City Star, March 7, 1994

“Monsanto should not have to vouchsafe the safety of biotech food. Our interest is in selling as much of it as possible. Assuring its safety is the FDA’s job.”
Phil Angell, Monsanto’s director of corporate communications, quoted in the New York Times, October 25, 1998

Of course, FDA says it is Monsanto’s job to “vouchsafe the safety of biotech food”  so really, it is no one’s job.  Refer to “skull and crossbones” quote.

It certainly looks like they have something to hide, given that the biotech industry is not touting and shouting the wonders of GMO to consumers:

“New, Improved! More Infertility, Autoimmune Disease, Cancer and Obesity in every bite!”

“Now, with more Roundup(R) than ever! New EPA regulations mean YOU and YOUR GUT BACTERIA have more organophosphate goodness than ever!”

Farm Fresh from Monsanto! Stacked GMO Traits and Higher Roundup Concentrations Mean Little Johny’s Blood Brain Barrier is Open Wider than Ever!  MMMMM, MMMM.  You’l Love the Taste of Autism”

First step: Label all GMOs.  Next step, Ban GMOs totally!
