CDC: No Evidence Monkeypox Is Airborne

There is currently no evidence that monkeypox is airborne, CDC officials said on Friday.

The sexual transmission of monkeypox, and asymptomatic infection, is still a mystery to scientists, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has said.

FDA Declares MODERNA Jab “Safe and Effective” Ahead of Approval Committee

Reviewers at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said in briefing documents that Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine is both effective and safe for children under 6 years old.
The analysis comes ahead of several advisory committee meetings next week to weigh giving approval to Moderna’s and Pfizer’s vaccines for young children.

CMS Slaps First Hospitals With Fines for Lack of Price Transparency

This week, CMS handed down their first penalties to two hospitals in Georgia for failing to comply with the price transparency law that went into effect Jan. 1, 2021.

Social isolation was linked with lower volume in brain areas related to cognition and associated with a higher risk of subsequent dementia as well, a longitudinal study showed.
