Dissent : Resist Much, Obey Little

“To the States or any one of them, or any city of the States,
Resist much, obey little,
Once unquestioning obedience, once fully enslaved,
Once fully enslaved, no nation, state, city of this earth,
ever afterward resumes its liberty.”
Walt Whitman, Leaves of Grass, 1891

Gary D. Barnett will be the guest on Dr. Rima’s Podcast, The Unmasked Crusaders, this coming Tuesday,  March 2d.  He sees the tyranny looming over all of us and writes a passionate call for mass civil disobedience at Lew Rockwell.  The podcast can be reached here:  http://www.opensourcetruth.com/natural-solutions-livestream-expanding/
We urge all to read and understand his call. [1]

Civil disobedience becomes a sacred duty when the state has become lawless or corrupt. And a citizen who barters with such a state shares in its corruption and lawlessness. — Gandhi

We are now at the threshold of hell concerning our natural rights and freedom. This evil government and its controllers have destroyed our sacred lives through lies, deceit, theft, plotted divisive policies, torture, isolation, dystopian mandates, crippling orders by executive fiat, and murder. This is not hidden; it is open and exposed, but the people have ignored the blatant nature of this conspiracy to take over humanity, and instead have as expected by their masters, acquiesced to every command given. After all this tyranny levied against this society, they now beg for crumbs from the very scum that has enslaved them. This collective and pathetic response can result in nothing less than mass enslavement.”

A second powerful article [2] that understands our current plight was posted by Brent Hamachek and it regards understanding the role of the Dissident in a tyrannical system.  This author is also passionate regarding the need for resistance.

“…we are forced to come to grips with the fact that this is no longer the “home of the free and the land of the brave.” We can stomp our feet and deny it, we can try to act as though we don’t accept it, but it is not going to change the reality that the great American experiment that was launched just over 230 years ago is finally producing empirical results. The conclusion: People are capable of sustaining individual liberty only for as long as they can be constrained by a system of law that suppresses and contains their true nature.  Hobbes was right.

For those of us who still believe in and embrace the ideas of our founding, for those who believe that the individual and their liberty are of paramount importance and prime value, for those of us who believe that free market capitalism is the most moral and just system for organizing economic activity, we need to have an epiphany. We need to awaken to the reality that we are not a majority. We are not a vocal minority with the same rights as the majority. We are now dissidents. We do not have the same voice as our ever-strengthening oppressors, and we do not have the same rights that they enjoy.”

These are bleak assessments but the times call for unblinking understanding of the dire reality.

Never forget that your courage and your dollars will determine the outcome of the struggle for liberty on earth.

Resist much…
