As you know, the current political situation in Japan that can be characterized as irresponsible and immoral allows us to foresee a new change,awaited by the majority of the Japanese people.

4 Former Prime Ministers, (Koizumi, Hosokawa, Fukuda, Hatoyama) are now publicly expressing their serious concern about this.
.
Under such circumstances, the International Community has a vital role to play to wake up Japan.
.
I am pinning my hopes on what the IPPNW could do in this regard.
.
I am sending you the important messages I have recently received from Dr. Martin Vosseler and Dr.Andreas Nidecker, co-founders of the IPPNW-Switzerland.
.
Dr.Nidecker has long been proposing the postponing the Tokyo Olympic 2020.
.
It is urgently required that the International Olympic Committee takes a position on this crucial issue.
.

Thank you so much sharing this important letter with us. Hopefully it will help to overcome the denial concerning the situation in Fukushima and the madness to organize Olympic games in Japan, with a part of the competitions not far from the radioactive site. Let’s hope that the UN Secretary General will be moved by your letter and will help to stop the preparations for the Olympic games 2020. Thank you that you mentioned the aspect of maternal culture, this aspect which is so important for the transition of human kind in order to become Earth compatible. Thank you so much for your persistent effort for the future of all of us.

Thanks for keeping up Your spirits and public criticism of the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. This day has not found its evening as yet, and I am sure that public discussion on the safety of the Olympic athletes will increase in the months to come. We from IPPNW Switzerland consider it important that IPPNW International find a common language and will surely make our voices heard prior to and during the games, should they ultimately take place.

Your personal dedicated public stand against the games is admirable and we totally share Yours and many others opinion on the need to postpone those games to a later date, in order to allocate available financial resources first to the cleanup and safety of the defunct plant in Fukushima.
